NFL Insiders producer can’t wait to share his team’s vast knowledge with fans

In the 17 years that producer Todd Snyder has worked at ESPN, he can’t recall a show like NFL Insiders.

And, on Monday, August 5, at 3 p.m. ET (ESPN), he will have the opportunity to produce it.

An ESPN researcher for seven years before moving into a producer role in 2003, Snyder got his start on ESPNEWS then worked on SportsCenter, where he began producing segments with former ESPN anchor Dan Patrick.

Snyder continued in production working a variety of high-profile assignments – NBA Finals, World Series, Super Bowl, Monday Night Football and other events – before being assigned to the NFL full time in 2006. He produced NFL Live for five years, and most recently, NFL32 on ESPN2.

It’s an opportunity that’s hard to beat.

“Look at what we do for a living. Every day we come in, we’re covering the NFL,” Snyder said. “It doesn’t always feel like a job. It’s a lot of fun.”

As the producer of ESPN’s new NFL Insiders, Snyder will work with hosts Suzy Kolber and Wendi Nix, Insiders Adam Schefter and Chris Mortensen and a rotation of other contributors that includes veteran journalists and longtime league executives like six-time NFL Executive of the Year, Bill Polian.

Pointing out the group’s deep knowledge base and wide range of NFL experiences, Snyder said the show will be driven by information.

“We literally have people connected to all 32 teams,” he said. “Whether you’re playing, coaching, in a front office role, or you’re playing fantasy football, information gives you an edge. This group of experts will deliver unique insights on the NFL every day.”
