Front & Center: Damien Woody returns to ESPN after competing on “The Biggest Loser”
We admit it. As comprehensive as ESPN’s NFL coverage is, it has been missing something the past few months.
That something is analyst Damien Woody.
The 12-year NFL veteran and two-time Super Bowl champ has been away from the show since June, participating in NBC’s “The Biggest Loser,” the reality television series featuring contestants trying to lose the highest percentage of body weight. (See photo gallery above)
Woody started the competition at 388 pounds. What’s his current weight? He won’t tell – yet. But Woody says this is the best he’s ever felt.
In the Front and Center podcast below, Woody discusses his experience on “The Biggest Loser,” how difficult it was to be away from family and friends for more than four months while sequestered in California for the show, and how his renewed focus on personal wellness has changed his eating and exercise habits. He also describes the experience as “the most challenging thing” he’s ever done.
To see Woody’s return to ESPN’s NFL coverage – and his new physique – tune into editions of SportsCenter and NFL Live (4 p.m. ET) on Thursday and Friday.
