And babies make FOUR for SportsCenter’s Lisa Kerney

Editor’s Note: On Christmas Day, SportsCenter anchor Lisa Kerney revealed on Twitter (of course!) that she is pregnant for the third time. However this pregnancy is a bit different than those of her previous two daughters. She explains to Front Row.

Everyone’s had the SAME reaction: “Wow, congrats!”. . . (then it registers). . . “Wait, TWINS!?!?”

And I just start laughing! Then friends and colleagues usually recap the ages of our two young daughters who are 3 and 1 years old, respectively. Yes, we’ll have four under the age of 4 come May! We couldn’t be more excited and feel incredibly blessed to be “doubling-down” as we call it. Ha! Complete Kerney chaos coming soon.

I can’t say enough about the incredibly sincere excitement I’ve received from my ESPN colleagues as well. Every single one of my bosses got up to give me a big hug and asked if there was anything they could do. They continue to ask how I’m feeling and just this past weekend, senior coordinating producer Don Skwar, who oversees the weekend SportsCenter, scraped all the snow off my car in the freezing cold and wouldn’t even let me even help! I mean, whose boss does that?

I’m so very grateful to be a part of such a wonderfully warm family, am humbled by all the love and will certainly be leaning (literally!) on my ESPN friends as the three of us continue to grow (in every way!) on this journey to May.
