The Professional Basketball Writers Association has recognized four ESPN NBA reporters in the 2019 PBWA Blumenthal Memorial Writing Contest.

McMenamin won the news category for his story “Inside LeBron James’ and Adam Silver’s make-or-break moments in China.” Also honored were Baxter Holmes (second place, magazine-length features) and Ohm Youngmisuk (honorable mention, moderate-length features).
