As the UFC continues to kick off its 2024 season, UFC on ESPN marks a significant milestone as well, its five-year anniversary.
On Jan. 19, 2019, ESPN+ premiered its first UFC Fight Night at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, N.Y. Since then, ESPN platforms have been the home of countless unforgettable moments in the Octagon over the last 1,828 days.
ESPN Vice President, Programming & Acquisitions Matt Kenny takes us inside the numbers and highlights so far as we look forward to all that’s ahead.
“Over the last five years, ESPN has become the destination for combat sports, providing fans every can’t-miss moment of UFC action – from championship fights to dreams becoming reality on The Ultimate Fighter and [UFC CEO] Dana White’s Contender Series and everything in between. Thanks to the continued dedication of so many talented colleagues across the company and our great partners at UFC, we are excited for another massive year of UFC on ESPN platforms.”
