ESPN and Disney+: A Winning Team for Sports and Entertainment Lovers
Disney today launched ESPN on Disney+, giving subscribers a seamless way to enjoy ESPN+ content alongside Disney+ and Hulu programming. This integration enhances the Disney+, Hulu, and ESPN+ bundle experience, providing live sports, general entertainment, and family-friendly content in one app.
Today’s launch is also an extension of ESPN’s mission to serve sports fans anytime, anywhere. It’s the next step toward the launch of ESPN’s flagship direct-to-consumer product in early Fall 2025, setting the stage for ESPN’s preeminent digital sports platform and bringing that expanded sports programming lineup to Disney+.
ESPN on Disney+ brings more than 30,000 live sports events, 6,000 hours of original content, and 100+ hours of studio shows annually to Bundle subscribers.
In the next 90 days alone, subscribers can look forward to 5,000 live events and new series from ESPN. Standalone Disney+ subscribers also get a preview, with access to select ESPN+ events like “The Simpsons Funday Football” animated Monday Night Football game, a Christmas Day lineup of five NBA games, plus the “Dunk the Halls” animated NBA presentation, exclusive NHL games, and Day 1 coverage from the Australian Open.
